I'll dominate 'serious combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two-time world boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the novice remains one of the sport's largest financial successes, regularly earning huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the usual face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really happening.
